Heavy Heart

Sorry Guys, I need to get a better scanner, but here is a little sketch. A bit sad, a bit lost, a bit lonely. While I'm not feeling quite like this, it is nice to be able to express emotions and tell a little story through illustrations.

Happy Valentines Day

Hope your day is swell, and remember it's not about real love, but the spells you cast or potions you mix, so take care!

Alphabet Alice

Hi all, I thought I'd show you what I have been up to for the Alice Alphabet. Over at Curiouser in Wonderland the talented Rachael Jackson and I have been collaborating on a blog together dedicated to Alice in Wonderland. As a part of that we have been slowly going through each letter of the Alphabet, currently we are up to the letter D.

I must admit I feel I should sharpen up my sketches, but let me know what you think. I'm still getting into the swing of it.

Catch you later! x

Little Christmas sketches

I had a few request for pictures over Christmas which I quickly whipped up at this bust time of year, and a little something for my friend Rachael Jackson over at Little Jackrabbits, who I also blog with on curiouser in wonderland. I didn't mean for that all to sound like an add, but there it is.

Anyhoo, best be off, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Curiouser In Wonderland

I have teamed up with my friend Rachael Jackson who is amazingly talented, you can check out her work at Little Jackrabbits. We have created a blog dedicated to Alice who visited Wonderland and shimmied through the looking glass many years ago.

We will be sharing our knowledge and any curious bits and pieces we find along the way, such as reviewing Alice books, Movies and cartoons, Craft and of course our own illustrations of Alice's adventure.

Rachael and I are two Melbourne Illustrators and Designers with a passion for all things Alice. We met while studying a Diploma of Illustration and bonded over our love of Alice, which has also lead to a joint Alice exhibition that we will be having this year.

So if you are curious about all things Alice, then join the teaparty over at Curiouser in Wonderland. We would love to have you. xo

Red Tears

So using an awesome brush pen I got from China and a splash of colour in Photoshop I have another two images of this vixen. I haven't decided a name for her yet, but I feel like a story is starting to emerge and come together. Hope you like.

Fury

Hello! So yes it has been awhile. I went to China for a little bit with no Internet, but here I am again!

This image was a draft for a painting I did on a ukulele for an exhibition a while ago, but I still quite like this draft and I would like to further explore a series/story with her. This is just a test with colours, I'm unsure about the tentacle things, but I love the red hair. I was influenced by the Evil queen in snow white, and continuing a theme of drawings and paintings I have been doing on scornful, angry and powerful women. So, let me know what you think so far.
