Watch Out For Your Shadow

I am currently studying a Transpersonal Art Therapy course, which is wonderful. We have done a lot of work looking at our shadow side, of which we all have many. I just completed the sixth module on mental health in the medical model which was very intense. Our facilitator, Paul, was great though so as a thank you I made a some-what light hearted take on what our shadows might get up to!

Plaster Fun House in Ballarat

I went for a drive on the weekend with my friend Bel, to Ballarat, just over an hour out of Melbourne and discovered the Plaster Fun House! a long ago memory from our youth! I was talking with a girl from work the other day and we both thought they were all gone, but no! There's still a few stores floating around. It is set up for kids mainly, but I still have my inner child kicking and screaming, there are heaps of objects to choose from, you then buy them, paint them and they glaze for free, and you can get glitter and other bits and bobs stuck on if you want too. Overall, pretty cheap. As my friend and I are both adults, we were cheeky and got two items each, both my pieces only cost $7 each and the paint and glaze are all free. My Lady, I found it hard to decide what colours, but the paints dry quick and you can mix and paint over which is great!

I had to rush my skull though as they were closing and I had been taking my time with the girl, maybe next time I'll stick with 1 item!
