My new Alice books
I love Alice in Wonderland and I collect all things Alice, but books are my favourite. The other day I made it to 100 books which I was very excited about. I found these three in Warrandyte Book Shop and the OP shop. After carefully sorting through all the books, well actually I rummaged on the floor, I found these lovely and unique versions.
This is my favourite, so delicate and beautiful line work
This book had Sir John Tenniel's images inside
While I have a few Disney versions of Alice, this book belonged to a very creative child and was full of surprises with many doodles that made me laugh
Normally I would think it a shame to wreck a book like this, but how many people will have this bearded Alice in their collection? I think Alice can pull if off!

The Silk Cut Award
The Silk Cut Award in Melbourne is now an annual event, and last year I started the day before and did a very rushed job. So this year I am starting to look for ideas now!
Here's what I did last year, I'd love some feedback!

Photography Ehibition
So I have now had my first photography exhibition!
I am really happy with how it went, and it's such a relief that it has all come
together and been successful.
New North Gallery is next to a lovely coffee shop, the Bean Counter, which was round the corner from where I use to study. It was really fun to be apart of an exhibtion that did all the organising so I could focus more on my work.
I am constantly taking photos so I thought why not exhibit photo's as well as my illustrations.
So when I got an email about this exhibition with the theme Water Element, I thought Perfect! I love the water, I am a swim teacher part time, and my photos are of water 80% of the time. The exhibition is on until the 26th of Febuary, so check it out if your around melbourne.
